One-Day Mystery Returns!
The Chat Room is down. We apologize, but due to technical difficulties, we have had to abandon our attempts to maintain a chat room for this event. We will try to find an alternate chat facility for our next one-day mystery. Prize winners of the hourly door prizes can be found here!
PART 6: THE FINAL CHAPTER Measure the length and width of your pieced quilt top and write them down in the spaces below: ______ Length ______ Width Sew your remaining 2 1/2" wide strips of Fabrics A (light) and B (medium) to make FOUR strip sets. Cut TWO of these strip sets to the same length as your "Length" measurement above. Pin, then sew one strip to each long side of the pieced quilt top, checking to make sure Fabric B is on the OUTSIDE each time. Press seam allowances toward the Fabric A (light) strip. Cut your remaining TWO strip sets to the same length as your "Width" measurement above. Sew your FOUR 4 1/2" square Funky 9-Patch blocks to each end of these strip sets. Press seams toward the strip sets. Pin, then sew one strip to the top edge, and the other to the bottom edge of your pieced quilt top, again making sure Fabric B is on the OUTSIDE each time. Press seam allowances toward the Fabric A (light) strip. CONGRATULATIONS!! You have just completed Merry Mayhem's Case #121! We hope you had lots of fun "solving" this mystery quilt project. All we ask is that you sign and date your lovely new quilt, so there won't be so many "mystery quilts" for future quilt historians to decipher!
