Photography Classes The Camera Doctor is offering regular darkroom and photography classes at our shop on North Decatur Road. Class sessions run for varying lengths of time. Complete darkroom facilities and supplies are available. Refer to this page for the latest updates.
LARGE FORMAT CLASS BEGINS TUESDAY JUNE 8, 2010 If you have always wanted to learn large format photography, The Camera Doctor is offering a 7-week course on Tuesday evenings beginning June 8 (please note change in start date). Cameras will be available for loan, and you will learn both shooting and darkroom techniques. Class time is 6:30 - 9:00. Space is limited, so if you're interested give us a call or visit as soon as possible.

7-week Wednesday evening photography and darkroom class beginning
Wednesday, June 9, 2010 (please note change in start date). This
comprehensive course will teach you all the basics black and white
photography, including darkroom skills and techniques. Class time will be from
6:30 - 9:00 p.m. The class is taught by local Atlanta

634-1252. BEGINNING TOY CAMERA CLASS OFFERED AGAIN ON MAY 8, 2010 A three-hour introduction to toy camera photography will be offered again on Saturday, May 8, 2010 from 9 a.m. to noon. Taught by Rob Holland, the class will offer hands-on tutorials on loading, shooting, and unloading Holga and Diana cameras, and will feature a shooting session during class. Students will bring their exposed film back to the shop for free development and will be able to see the results in class. Other topics include the history of toy cameras, a survey of books, websites, and magazines, toy camera workflow options, and other information and lore. ADVANCED TOY CAMERA CLASS Our customers have been asking for a more advanced toy camera tips and techniques class, and we have found the right person to give it. Brian Manley will lead you through a variety of artistic techniques and approaches to toy camera photography in a 3-hour Saturday morning class (9 - 12:00) on May 15.
We hire experienced, enthusiastic, and friendly instructors. Currently classes are taught by Decatur photographers Phil Mosier, Maureen Holmberg, Joe Aczel, and Rob Holland. As we hire additional instructors, we will be offering additional classes in special techniques and approaches to photography. Check back here for new offerings.
Darkroom Use By Students All current and former students in classes at The Camera Doctor may rent darkroom time at a rate of $5.00 per hour. Available darkroom hours are:
