"Windmill Squared"
(12" finished block, Make one block)

(C) Red
Cut 2 squares 6 7/8", then cut once diagonally

(E) Purple
Cut 4 squares 3 7/8", then cut once diagonally

(D) Yellow
Cut 4 squares 3 1/2"

Assembly & Block Construction of the Windmill Squared Block

1. Sew (1) one (E) Purple half square triangle to (1) one side of a (D) Yellow square triangle. See diagram 1 for placement.

2. Referring to diagram 2 sew another (E) Purple half square triangle to the other side of the unit sewn in Step 1.

3. Repeat (3) three more times for a total of (4) four.

4. Sew one (1) Red (C) half square triangle to the unit just sew in Step 2. See diagram 3 for placement.

5. Measurement check block should measure 6 1/2" square.

6. Repeat (3) three more times for a total of (4) four.

7. Referring to Block Construction diagram sew the units together to complete rows.

8. Measurement check rows should measure 6 1/2" x 12 1/2"

9. Sew the rows together to complete the block.

YOUR block is complete!!
